A police spokesman said that both the militants surrendered before the senior officers of the police and security forces along with two AK 47 rifles.

Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two militants, one of them in an injured condition, during a gunfight in Lelhar village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

A police spokesman said that both the militants surrendered before the senior officers of the police and security forces along with two AK 47 rifles.

“One of the militants who was injured in the gunfight was shifted to a hospital for treatment,” he said.

The encounter broke out last evening after police and security forces launched a search operation in the area following inputs about the presence of militants there.
