DISTRICT POLICE GANDERBAL APPREHENDED A DRUG PEDDLER; MULTIPLE CONTRABAND SUBSTANCES OVER 10 KGs RECOVERED

Ganderbal 4th Feb 2020:District Police Ganderbal in its concerted efforts to eradicate menace of drugs from the society, made yet another breakthrough in tackling drug peddlers.

Acting on a specific information from reliable sources that a huge consignment of contraband substances is possessed in a house, a party was swiftly formed by Ganderbal Police from Police Station Gund under the supervision of SDPO Kangan Shri Yasir Qadri-JKPS, headed by SHO PS Gund INSP. Lateef Ali in presence of Tehsildar Kangan Shri Abdul Majeed Rather-KAS raided the source pinned house and recovered contraband substances comprising of 10 kg of Ganja, Charas powder -210 gram and charas sticks wrapped in corn husk -058 grm from the residence of accused person namely Shakeel Ahmad Raina S/O Ab Ahad Raina, R/O Kasana Pati, Hariganvan.
In this regard FIR No 05/2021 U /S 08/20 NDPS Act stands regestered at PS Gund and further investigation taken up.

General masses of District Ganderbal appreciated the swift actions of Police against drug peddlers.

General Public are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers/ consumers in your neighborhood.

SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS intimated that any individual found any involvement in drug peddling or propagating drug abuse in the society will be dealt strictly under law.
