Sopore Police facilitates Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting

February 06: As a part of public outreach programme, Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was facilitated by Sopore Police at Community Hall Dangiwacha while following social distancing norms and other protocols.

The meeting was chaired by SDPO Rafiabad Shri Nissar Ahmad-JKPS and was accompanied by SHO Police Station Dangiwacha and other senior officers. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens, Sarpanchs and Panchs of Yarbugh, Rawoocha, Fidarpora, Chatoosa, Hamam markoot, Hanoora, Zethan, Budden and Chanam areas.

During the meeting, the participants raised various issues including drug abuse, non-availability of drinking water and electricity. The chairing officers assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.

While speaking on the occasion, SDPO Rafiabad requested the participants to imbibe the moral teachings among their wards. They were requested to cooperate with the Police on every front so that the crime is eradicated within the society.  He also expressed that phone numbers of Sopore Police are available round the clock and can make call any time with regard to any social crime in their respective areas.

The participants in the meeting assured their full cooperation to police in tackling social evils. Participants hailed the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinion freely.
