Principal GMC Jammu discusses plan for repair of HDU & new emergency

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 17: A meeting was today held here under the chairpersonship of Dr. Shashi Sudhan Sharma, Principal Govt. Medical College and Associated Hospitals regarding the repairs and improvement of HDU and emergency wing.

The meeting decided to upgrade  room 4 , while  XEN Mechanical/ Civil/ Electrical submitted the DPR for the improvement of the emergency.

It was apprised during the meeting that the tenders have also been floated by civil wing, while electrical and mechanical wing shall float the tenders soon. It was decided to revise the DPR if needed in consultation with the concerned HODs and Medical Superintendent. It was also decided to create alternative space to room no.4 till the completion of the work.

Later, the Principal GMC & AH visited emergency, HDU and isolation ward. To facilitate attendants, the Principal asked for installing mobile charging points at prominent places. The XEN  mechanical was asked to operationalise  lift service 24X7 and make route to HDU  fully functional.

The PMC emphasized on carrying out requisite improvements at the time when the number of of Covid-19 patients is all time low in GMC during the current pandemic.

 The meeting was attended by Nagendra Singh Jamwal, Administrator GMC & AH; Dr. Dara Singh MS, GMC; Sonia Vaid, Deputy Director Planning and XEN Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and others.
