DC Kupwara inaugurates Plantation drive, Painting competition at Waripora

Provides wheelchairs to SDH Kupwara

KUPWARA, MARCH 20: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today inaugurated a Plantation drive and Painting competition at Gulistan-e-Banaat, J&K Yateem Foundation Waripora Handwara.

The function was organized by the Social Forestry Department.

On the occasion, the DC planted some trees within the Institute premises in presence of the officers.

          While interacting with the students of the Yateem Foundation, the DC asked them to work hard and prove themselves in different fields of education. He also asked the management of the Foundation to prepare the students for better career prospectus in different fields especially in competitive examinations.

     Meanwhile, the DC awarded the students who showed best performance in the Painting Competition.

ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir, ACR Kupwara, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, DFO Social Forestry, Dr. Fayaz Ahmad and others were present at the occasion.

Later, in a separate function at Kupwara, the DC provided 15 Wheel Chairs to Sub District Hospital, Kupwara.

          These Wheel Chairs were donated by Jammu Kashmir Yateem Foundation unit Kupwara for different hospitals of Kupwara district.

          On the occasion, the DC appreciated the Foundation for this good gesture and hoped that this gesture will benefit the needy patients.

           Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, Chairman of JK Yateem Foundation, Kupwara and other concerned were present at the occasion.

          Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Fruit and Vegetable Mandi Bumhama, where he interacted with the wholesaler traders.
