DC B’pora reviews Covid-19 mitigation efforts Orders for mandatory use of masks at public places

BANDIPORA, MARCH 23: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Tuesday chaired a meeting of officers to review the Covid-19 mitigation efforts, vaccination process, testing and adherence to various SOPs.

The DC on the occasion stressed on enforcement of precautionary measures including use of face masks and social distancing at public places. He called for strict enforcement of the orders issued from time to time.

He also directed to create awareness with active involvement of PRI members, about the use of face masks in rural and urban areas with special focus on Offices, Hospitals, Markets, Shopping complexes besides ensuring strict adherence to the preventive measures.

The meeting discussed the testing, sampling and vaccination process going on in the district. The DC directed to ensure the daily target of testing is met and ensure that a smart and strategic sampling is done besides taking measures to identify suspects for new variants with priority to schools.

Senior Superintendent of Police Mohammad Zahid, Additional District Development Commissioner Afsar Ali Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Medical Officer, District Epidemiologist and other senior officers of the district were present on the occasion.
