Indian Army: Swift Action Saved Lives & Property In Kashmir Winning Hearts of Locals.

‘Once again Army proved that they are the well wishers of people of Jammu and Kashmir’

Srinagar, Mar 23: The Villagers of new Rangwar village, Chowkibal expressed their gratitude to Army for taking a swift action in safeguarding the lives and property worth Lakhs.

In the afternoon of 22 March around 1300 Hrs, the house of Mr. Zaheer Khan caught fire and timely intervention by Army prevented it from spreading across the Village.

In the very first moment a cloud of fire was observed at new Rangwar at 1245 Hrs.

The Army in Drangyari activated the QRT along with fire safety equipments and the gun area control informed the police and concerned fire services department in a time bound manner.

The QRT reached the spot and took over the fire hazard prevention with an intention to safeguard the lives and property of local population.

Army mobilised the villagers around to help in recovery and with great efforts recovered the balance of the house and prevented the fire from spreading to other houses of village.

The Sarpanch,of Chowkibal and Rangwar village, Mr. Maqbool and other elderly villagers lauded the role of Army in dousing the fire in an efficient manner.

They also expressed their sincere gratitude for an immediate and dedicated response by the army.

While thanking the Army the locals said that The Army once again proved the true friend of Awaam (People) during the tormenting times.
