DC Kupwara takes stock of fire accident at Kalaroos Assesses flood situation at Nutnussa, Shartpora

KUPWARA, MARCH 26: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today visited Kalaroos and took stock of the damage of shops in Kalaroos town due to a fire accident that occurred during the intervening night of March 25.

The District Development Council member Kalaroos, Ghulam Mustafa Deedad, concerned Tehsildar and other Revenue staff was present at the occasion.

The DC asked concerned Tehsildar for assessment of damage and report to his office within two days so that necessary steps are taken in this regard.

The DC Kupwara and District Development Council member Natnussa jointly visited Nagri and Shartpora villages to assess the flood threat to the locality and erosion of agricultural land due to recent floods.

Block Development Officer Nutnussa was also accompanying the DC, on the occasion.

The DC directed the concerned BDO to come up with a proposal to redress the grievances of flood threat to the said locality.

Earlier, Chairman, District Development Council, Irfan Sultan Panditpuri and the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Imam Din visited the office of the Assistant Commissioner Development (Rural Development Complex) and inspected the office accommodation for Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson, District Development Council Kupwara.
