Srinagar, May 6: Several persons in Kashmir capital Srinagar are receiving Covid-19 vaccination certificates without getting even a single dose of the vaccine.

A Couple from Brein Nishat who had registered themselves on the Co-WIN website for vaccination is one among the several people that has received Covid-19 vaccination certificates without getting even a single dose of the vaccine at any health centre.

“After registering ourselves online at the CoWin portal, we went to inoculation Primary Health Centre Brein, but before getting vaccinated, we received an SMS saying we have already been vaccinated and we can download the certificate,” said a man Khan (sir name) to news agency.
Another man from Bemina also claimed that vaccination certificates are being generated without a male or female getting a single doze of the vaccine.

Despite repeatedly calling CoWin helpline number 1075, it didn’t connect.

Pertinently, such incidents have been reported earlier as well in different parts of country. Even, CoWin portal had become a butt of jokes on social media when it crashed severely.

Officials had said that the portal had crashed due to the surge in the number of people registering.

Kashmir News Trust talked to a health official who claimed that there is no room for such errors but said that sometimes such things may happen due to the faulty approach of the operators.
