Duo Hail Governor Efforts To Contain Covid.Expressed gratitude for increasing beds, establishment of Oxygen plant, blood bank & Dialysis centre in district hospital Ganderbal

National Conference Senior Leader and former Legislator from Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar and DDC Chairperson Ganderbal Nuzhat Ishfaq on Thursday spoke to LG Manoj Sinha to take stock of the situation pertaining to coronavirus disease and discussed different issues of Ganderbal.Both the leaders hailed him and his administration for exploring all avenues to contain the COVID-19 crisis in J&K. Welcoming the establishment of oxygen plant and increase in the no. of beds from 100 to 150 at district hospital Ganderbal, the former Legislator in a statement said that the work on the dialysis centre & blood bank which was started earlier have also been completed.While expressing gratitude to the Lt Governor, Chief Secretary B V R Subrahmanyam, Financial Commissioner Health and other Officers Mr Jabbar has expressed satisfaction over the response of Manoj Sinha and his administration to his demands of public importance in Ganderbal district and felt confident that the development projects started earlier in the district would be completed soon. Mr Jabbar demanded that the oxygen supply and other facilities should be made available to other hospitals of district also which include Kangan, Wutlar and other hospitals. The supply of vaccines should be made available to everyone immediately, and availability of doctors for consultation through online mode also, in the district, duo demanded.Governor appreciated the concerns of the duo and urged them to continue their positive endeavours for promoting a peaceful environment which would enhance people’s welfare and enable rapid development.He called upon both the leaders to enlarge awareness about the COVID-19 pandemic through PRIs to spread the awareness among the masses regarding SOPs like social distancing, wearing of Masks and hand sanitization. They should be given specific tasks such as creating awareness of the Covid-19 disease and monitoring the home quarantine of those at risk of catching the infection etc. , the statement added.
