New Delhi: Israeli forces have stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Monday morning, firing rubber-coated bullets, tear gas, and sound bombs at Palestinian worshippers at the holy site of Al Aqsa.
Israeli police were seen firing gunshots and grenades at Palestinians, who responded by wielding rocks at security forces advancing on the Al Aqsa compound. Dozens sought shelter, as the wounded were brought wheeled away from the confrontation.
In forces action hundreds of Palestinians has been injured including 6 journalists and at least 50 hospitalised on the fourth day of clashes in Occupied East Jerusalem. (With inputs from Reuters)
