Soldier injured in ‘accidental’ mine blast

Kupwara, May 17: An army soldier sustained injuries in an ‘accidental’ mine blast along Line of Control in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a soldier while working on a fence at Golf-11 post was injured after a mine exploded abruptly.
The injured soldier was shifted to hospital for treatment.
Sources identified the injured soldier as Libeno Lezung, affiliated with 35 Rashtriya Rifles deployed at Yed Aysni Hardal Company along Line of Control in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Qalamabad Handwara.
