ADDC Anantnag directs for round the clock testing at TC Lower Munda

More than 19000 tests done at the centre

ANANTNAG, MAY 24: The Additional District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Wani today visited Covid Testing Centre Lower Munda and took stock of its functioning. He enquired from the officials about the status and details of the covid sampling being done there.

SDM, Dooru, Gh Rasool Wani who is also Nodal Officer for the said centre informed the ADDC that the centre has 11 functional Testing Kiosks where more than 19000 Rapid Antigen Tests of the travellers, truckers etc have been done besides necessary augmentations are being taken to fully cater to the requirement.

The ADDC directed the concerned officials to ensure smooth round the clock testing of travellers, truckers etc besides provision of all basic facilities at the centre. He also directed the police and traffic authorities to take appropriate measures for smooth traffic movement near the site.

BMO Qazigund, officials of police and other concerned departments were also present on the occasion.

Pertinently, the testing centre was made functional on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla as a proactive and deterrent measure to curtail spread of infection.

The centre has been doing the testing operations smoothly and the DC is monitoring its functioning on a daily basis.
