Anantnag, May, 24:Anantnag Police Continuing it’s War against drug peddlers arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
Acting up on a specific information received by Police Station Bijbehara, a Police party headed by SHO Bijbehara laid a Naka at Karkadal Bijbehara and intercepted a person namely Javid Ahmed Bhat S/O Gh Hassan Bhat Resident of Banderpora Kanelwon and recovered about 2 KGs of Charas from his possession. Accused has been arrested and contraband seized.
In this connection, Case FIR Number 142/2021 under relevant sections of the law stands registered in Police Station Bijbehara and investigation into the matter has been taken up.
Anantnag Police once again appeals the people of the District to come forward with the information regarding drug peddlers so that curative steps can be taken against them.
