DC Ganderbal urges people to avoid self-medication.Briefs media on overall Covid mitigation efforts put in place.

GANDERBAL, MAY 26: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today held a press briefing on Covid mitigation efforts put in place during which she urged upon the Covid positive patients to avoid self-medication and take medicines only after doctor consultation.
While sharing the Home Isolation data, the DC said that currently 1078 patients are in Home Isolation. District administration has established 24*7 Covid control room at CMO Office where from Home Isolation patients are being called on daily basis to get feedback from them, she added.
She urged the people to receive the calls from Covid control room and share the information as asked so that proper health advise is given to them as per their health condition adding that health authorities are always available for their help.
The DC also briefed on tele consultation facility in the district and said that a team of sixteen doctors is constituted with different speciality who can be contacted at any time for any type of advice related to health whose contact details are already available on official twitter handle and Facebook page of the district administration besides, in District Hospital, PHCs and Sub Centers of the district.
Elaborating on 5 bedded Isolation Facility as directed by the Government, the DC said that process of procuring necessary equipments is already initiated adding that Isolation Facility would be established in all 126 panchayats with one oxygen support bed and other adequate facilities will be made available there.
Jyotsna once again appealed PRIs, Media Persons, Health workers, locals and other frontline workers to support the district administration in same way as they supported earlier in combating the spread of infection adding that district administration is always available for the timely redressal of grievances of the people.
