Shopian, May 28: A militant was killed in a gunfight here in Southern district of Shopian.
Police said that after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in Ganapora village, Joint Forces cordoned off the village and during search operation there was exchange of fire between militants and Forces.
In the initial exchange of fire, an unidentified militant was killed.
He said that one AK rifle and some other incriminating material were recovered from the encounter site, he said. (KNT)
