DIG SKR distributes wheel chairs among specially-abled persons

June 01: Range Police Headquarters Anantnag under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) distributed wheel chairs among  specially-abled persons at District Police Lines Anantnag. The event was organized while following Covid-19 SOPs and other protocols.

The distribution event was inaugurated by DIG SKR Shri Abdul Jabbar-IPS accompanied by SSP Anantnag Shri Imtiyaz Hussian-JKPS and other officers/officials. During the event, wheel chairs were distributed among 18 specially abled persons from the families of police personnel posted in Anantnag district.

While interacting with the beneficiaries, DIG SKR expressed the hope that the assistance provided by the Police to the specially-abled persons may help them to become self-reliant. He also assured them of all support from police department and will facilitating them to achieve their goals. He also asked the beneficiaries not to allow their physical infirmities to come in their way and stay active in their lives to achieve their desirable objectives. He also advised the police officers and jawans to show empathy and kindness towards such segment of society and come forward with helping hand to make them feel part and parcel of the society.

The participants have expressed their gratitude for this gesture by Police.
