Police held Covid awareness programmes in Srinagar & Budgam Distributes face masks among people across the valley

June 02: Police held Covid awareness programmes in Srinagar and Budgam, besides face masks were distributed among the general public across the valley.

In Srinagar, Covid awareness program was organised by Police Station Nigeen at Auqaf Market Hazratbal & Fisherman colony Dhobighat areas of Hazratbal.

SP Hazratbal, SDPO Zakoora & SHO PS Nigeen were present on the occasion. Besides, Tehsildar North, Civil Society members, Masjid Committee members, Civil defence personal & members of different NGO’s also attended the function.

In Budgam, Police held meetings with Nambardars and Chowkidars at Police Station Khansahib and Police Post Narbal to aware them about Covid-19 containment measures and other Govt SOPs. The participants were also advised to motivate people in their respective villages to go for vaccination at an earliest.

During the programmes, the people were sensitized about the pandemic and were requested to adopt Covid appropriate behaviour. The participants were requested to wear masks, use sanitizers and keep their surroundings clean. They were requested to adhere to the SOPs and cooperate with police in enforcing the directions.

Besides, Police have distributed face masks among the people in a massive drive across the valley and they were sensitized to follow the SOPs and guidelines of government with regard to Covid-19.

General public are requested to cooperate with police and civil administration in Covid-19 containment efforts.
