Srinagar, June 03: BJP Kashmir Unit on Thursday urged Financial Commissioner Atal Duloo to take action against the irking Block Medical Officer (BMO), Sub District Hospital Hazratbal for deputing security guard to vaccinate people and turned it very unfortunate.
Party youth and Kashmir Media Incharge, Manzoor Bhat in a statement issued here demanded urgent action againstBMO Hazratbal, Hashmat Sultana for deputing security guard to vaccinate people.
“We received multiple complaints from people regarding Sub District Hospital, Hazratbal, where a security guard was admiring vaccines to common people unprofessionally. After some people questioned the security guard about the same, he fled from the spot and did not return back,” he said.
Bhat said it is a crucial stage of vaccination and hospital authorities are risking lives of people by deputing unprofessional staff or other workers at SDH Hazratbal. Out of a total 100 vaccines, only 40-50 were administered by the security guard and rest were wasted or given double doses , he said.
Soon after the incident, the people of the area had reached the BMO to take action against the same but instead of taking action she was not receiving any call or meeting anybody.
“We called her multiple times from office numbers but she did not bother to receive a call. Following which, BJP officials contacted Director Health Kashmir but he said the hospital does not fall in their jurisdiction.
Bhat said it is the second time in the hospital that such an incident has been reported and urged Financial Commissioner Atal Duloo to take strong note of such things and transfer her immediately from the hospital.
“BMO should be transferred so that patient care in the hospital will not suffer anymore. Her transfer is a need of the hour and such things will not be tolerated anymore,” he added.
