BMO, Hazratbal rebuts allegation regarding vaccination done by Security Guard

Calls it ‘baseless’

SRINAGAR, JUNE 04:  The Block Medical Officer (BMO) Hazratbal, Srinagar today contested the news item circulated on a section of social media regarding vaccination done by Security Guard at Sub District Hospital, Hazratbal.

In a clarification issued here, it has been made clear that fake news circulated on the Social media regarding vaccination done by Security Guard at Sub District Hospital, Hazratbal has no base and is therefore denied in toto.

 As per the statement issued here it has been given out that the Block Hazratbal (Block Medical Officer, Hazratbal) conducts daily Covid-19 vaccination in the whole Block which includes Hazratbal, Nishat, Teilbal and Harwan besides rural areas of Harwan including Faqir Gujri for both COVAXIN and COVISHEILD among age groups of 18 to 44 years and above 45 years.

 For each session site teams are constituted and comprise of “Verifier, Observer (Doctors) and Vaccinator (FMPHW and BHW) and Technical staff (Government Teachers) for uploading the manual data and online data, said the BMO, Hazratbal.

She said that since every day they have Six to Eight session sites at Health Centers and other places, similarly on 3rd June 2021 vaccination session was going on at Sub District Hospital, Hazratbal smoothly and the Vaccinator was female (FMPHW) who is well trained and experienced in her field was inoculating the beneficiaries while the Security Guard was there maintaining the queue and discipline of the beneficiaries.

The BMO said that they have also conducted the outreach COVISHEILD vaccination at Kashmir university and work has been appreciated by the authorities of Kashmir University as published in the daily newspaper “Greater Kashmir” of 3rd June 2021.
