Active positive cases decreases drastically in Ganderbal: DC Briefs media on current Covid scenario in district

GANDERBAL, JUNE 09: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today briefed the media on the current covid scenario and mitigation efforts put in place in the district.

While giving details, the DC said that the active cases have drastically decreased in the district from the last four weeks. She said in the starting of current month total Active cases in the district were almost 1400 which have come to 741 till ending last week and among which 683 are in home isolation.

While giving details about the tests done in last week, she said 8000 tests were done including 5400 RAT tests and positivity rate has also decreased in the district.

She said field functionaries including Heath teams, Tehsildars, BDOs and officials of other departments are always available to the people to redress their grievances onspot and to further enhance the grievance redressal mechanism, the district administration has designed nodal officers at the district level for all medical blocks of the district, she added.

While elaborating, she said that CPO and Dy. CEO are designed for Block Ganderbal, Additional Deputy Commissioner and GM, DIC are designed for Kangan block, ADDC for Block Wakura and DFO, Sindh Forest Division for block Lar. She urged people to contact these respective nodal officers for redressal of grievances if they found any grievance is not redressed at the block level.

She again appealed to people to keep following the restrictions and SOPs issued by the Administration as they are followed earlier for their own benefits and protection from Covid infection.
