June 10: Yesterday afternoon Police in Budgam received an information that a teenaged boy namely Irfan Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rashid Bhat resident of Arigam has drowned in a stream at village Arigam Khansahib.
Acting swiftly, Police reached on the spot and started rescue operation along with locals of the area. Meanwhile, SDRF teams and River Police Srinagar were also called in for the operation.
After strenuous efforts by joint teams of Budgam Police, SDRF and River Police, the dead body of the drowned youth has been fished out.
Later the body was handed over to his legal heirs after completion of legal formalities.
