DC Doda holds media briefing on current Covid scenario of the district, Says covid restrictions eases from today, shops to remain open on 5 days, weekend curfew to remain imposed

Doda,June 14:
Covid restrictions has been eased down in the district and shops are now allowed to open on all 05 days, except on Saturday and Sunday on which there shall be complete corona curfew, the statement was made by Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma while briefing about the current Covid scenario of the district.

The DC informed that enforcement agencies have been strictly directed to stay alert, to inspect the market round the clock so that implementation of Covid-19 SOPs shall be ensured in letter and spirit, besides urged locals to follow Covid appropriate behaviour while coming out from their homes.

Regarding vaccination the DC informed that more than 70% of the population above the age group of 45 yr has been vaccinated, besides above 18 yr especially vulnerable section of the society, the vaccination is going to start from tomorrow for which six vaccination sites have been identified across the district.

With regard to rural health care facilities (CC Centre) the DC informed that all are functioning, besides around 70 oxygen concentrators have been placed in the CC Centres and in the upcoming days, in the rest Covid care centres out of 237 panchayats, oxygen Concentrators shall be place on priority basis as soon as the supply shall be recieved from JKMSCL.

Further the DC informed that pension benefits for the family of a bread earner Covid death and scholarship benefits for their children under SAKSHAM scheme has been approved and shall be paid by the concerned department in the upcoming days to the eligible beneficiaries.
