Police officers call on DGP; expressed their gratitude to UT Administration

Srinagar, 15 June: Officers of different batches of Jammu and Kashmir Police Services (JKPS) today called on Director General of Police J&K Shri Dilbag Singh at Police Headquarters, Srinagar.

The officers expressed their gratitude to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor J&K Shri Manoj Sinha, Advisor (B) Shri R. R. Bhatnagar, Chief Secretary J&K Dr A. K. Mehta, Home Secretary Shri Shaleen Kabra and other officers of the UT Government for amendment in the Non-Functional (Monetary) Scheme, through DGP, J&K.

They thanked the DGP J&K for presenting the issues of the J&K Police Services officers in front of the administration, which has been kind enough in extending the Non-Functional (Monetary) Scheme, and also redressing other issues.

During his interaction with the officers the DGP J&K said that the Police as well as civil administration has been working for finding solutions to various issues of the J&K Police. He said that the seniority issue which was lingering on from years was resolved for the gazetted officers. He said that Departmental Promotion Committees have been holding their meetings regularly and hundreds of officers/personnel in different ranks have been promoted and during the current year 3758 personnel in different ranks have been promoted.

The DGP said that recently 389 personnel of different ranks were converted into Ministerial/Steno Cadre after they qualified departmental written examination and skill tests. He assured the officers that other issues pertaining to officers and personnel have been taken up with the UT administration and is hopeful that these issues will also be resolved as soon as possible.

The DGP impressed upon the officers to work with more zeal and dedication at their respective places of postings.
