SEMINAR ON LIBERATION OF BANGLADESH

To commemorate the Golden Jubilee of 1971 war and liberation of Bangladesh a seminar was conducted by Lolab Lions for the locals to tell them about the glorious history of 1971 war and how the Indian Army collaborated with Mukti Bahini to liberate Bangladesh from the atrocities of Pakistan. The event was attended by 42 locals who were briefed about the events leading upto the 1971 war such as the political imbalances in the then West Pakistan, the atrocities done by the Pak Army on local population, the rise of Mukti Bahini and how the 1971 war ended with a surrender of approximately 93000 Pak soldiers and formation of a new nation named as People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
