Progress on Covid Vaccination reviewed in block Lar

Ganderbal 16th june: Nodal officer vaccination Lar, Owais Mir today convened a meeting to review the progress on Covid Vaccination for 18-44 years and adress the issues with respect to the mobilization of people for vaccination in the block.

BDO Lar, TSO Lar, CDPO lar, Naib Tehsildars, were present along with the Sarpanchs and VLWs of the Panchayats of the block.

BDC chairperson Safapora Gowher Ahmed also attended the meeting.

At the onset, Nodal officer while welcoming all the officers and PRIs drew attention towards the poor progress of the vaccination drive in the block. He sought active cooperation from each stakeholder in order to improve the drive to attain the daily target of around 300 doses fixed by District Administration in the Block.

It was decided to have a comprehensive mobilization in each panchayat involving the frontline workers of the line departments so that people are motivated for vaccination.

Incharge mobilisation teams were advised to monitor the entire process and report any delinquency in this regard. BMO lar gave a detailed account of the vaccination centres constituted in the block.

He urged for maximum support of line departments to achieve the desired targets. BDO lar while acknowledging the cooperation of PRIs in the success of the Ist phase laid emphasis upon the repetition of the same enthusiasm in each panchayat.

He also requested BMO lar to facilitate one-day vaccination special Camps in some areas for convenience of the people. For such camps, Sarpanchs may intimate in advance regarding the need and feasibility.

The establishment and working of Covid centres was also reviewed, wherein, BMO Lar was requested to make them operational for home-isolated covid patients for their proper care.
It is pertinent to mention that a Covid care centre has been setup almost in each panchayat of the District with requisite facilities including bedding and O2 concentrators for Covid care.
