Ganderbal 23rd june: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today informed that Dialysis unit has been started in district hospital and people who are in need of dialysis can avail the services there and dedicated it to the people of the district.
The DC said this during a press briefing elaborating on current Covid situation in the district and mitigation efforts put in place to combat the pandemic.
While giving details on positivity rate, the DC said that positivity rate has come to 5% while recovery rate has increased to 97% and mortality rate is just 0.8% in the district.
While giving details about the active containment zones in the district the DC said that currently 55 zones are active containment zones and about 55% active positive population is from these zones, she added.
She appealed people from these zones to provide full cooperation to the authorities who visit to these zones for sampling and testing adding that these zones are notified for their safety.
elaborating on 18-44 years vaccination campaign, she maintained that vaccination is available on all 94 vaccination sites and urged upon people to get vaccinated at an earliest.
She again appealed to the people to follow the guidelines and SOPs religiously adding that joint teams have been constituted for fine imposition against the SOP violators.
