Active Positive cases below 200 in the district: DC Gbl

GANDERBAL, JUNE 28: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today informed that the active positive cases have witnessed a massive decline in the district and at present there are 199 such cases besides, the positivity rate is just 2.23 percent.

The DC said this during a routine press briefing to present an overall situation of the Covid-19 in the district, besides the covid containment and mitigation measures employed so far in the district.

Giving details, the DC said that last week 9000 tests were done and the overall positivity rate has come down to 2.23 percent which is an encouraging sign.

Elaborating on bed occupancy in District Hospital, the DC said that bed occupancy has drastically come down and currently only 13 positive patients are admitted in District Hospital.

Regarding vaccination drive for 18-44 years, the DC said that vaccination is going on smoothly as the vaccine is available on all 94 vaccination sites of the district and about 12 percent of the population of 18-44 years age has been given their first dose.

To further improve positive indicators with regard to pandemic, the DC said that it is joyous moment that the people are following the SOPs and again appealed them to follow the guidelines and SOPs religiously in same manner and get tested if they have any Covid symptoms at the nearest Covid Care Centre immediately.
