July 09: Bandipora Police along with security forces arrested an active terrorist of proscribed terror outfit LeT and recovered arms & ammunition from his possession.
On specific input regarding movement of terrorists in Hajin town, a joint Naka was established by Bandipora Police, 13RR and 45Bn CRPF in Gundjahangeer area of Hajin. During naka checking, one person was behaving in a very suspicious manner, who was tactfully apprehended by the joint Naka party. He has been identified as Muzammil Sheikh @Abu Maviya resident of Chandergeer Hajin. During his personal search, incriminating material, arms & ammunition including one Chinese pistol along with live rounds were recovered from his possession.
Pertinently, the said terrorist had joined proscribed terror outfit LeT recently and was tasked to carry out subversive activities in and around Hajin town.
In this regard, Police has registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Hajin and further investigation has been initiated.
