Union Additional Secretary DARPG reviews progress on implementation of Behtar Nizam-e-Hukumat-Kashmir Aelmia’ resolution

SRINAGAR, JULY 09: Union Additional Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG),  Ministry of Personnel, V. Srinivas today chaired a meeting through video conferencing to review the progress made on the decisions under the ‘Behtar Nizam-e-Hukumat-Kashmir Aelmia’ resolution recently adopted in the backdrop of two day Regional Conference on Replication of Good Governance Practices in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

  The meeting was attended by  Director General IMPARD, Saurabh Bhagat, Finance Secretary, Himachal Pradesh, officers from DARPG, CGG, Government of India, Director General Economics and Statistics, Deputy Commissioners of various districts, Secretary Public Grievances, Professors from Central University and University of Kashmir, Director Trainings IMPARD, Regional Director E&S along with DSEO’s and CPO’s.

During the meeting it was desired that for development of District Governance Index, a functional working group having representative from IMPARD, E&S Department, NCGG, 2-3 academicians be set up to study the availability of data with Economics and Statistics Department vis-à-vis data shared regarding Good Governance Index and District Governance Index of Himachal Pradesh.

It was also decided that there would be 03 Capacity Building Programmes of one to two weeks duration, covering Smart Policing, Soft Skills, Education, Health and Financial requirements like GFR, PFMS, GEM for officers of UT of J&K being conducted by National Centre for Good Governance, Government of India. It was also agreed that few Success Stories of J&K shall be documented as Case Studies by Centre for Innovation Policy and Governance (CIPG).
