Those found overcharging, their permits and licences will be cancelled: ARTO Poonch
ARTO Poonch, Anzar Ahmed Rana(KAS), had issued new farelists as per Transport Commisioner order no. 01P-MVD-2021 dated 19-03-2021 for different routes of district Poonch. It was the long pending demand of commuters as there were confusion and numeorus complaints were recieved regarding overcharging of fare. Drivers were indulging in overcharging and looting innocent public. General public had hailed the move of ARTO Poonch, and said that they have got relief after the issuance of farelists, as overcharging of fare was prevalent during this Covid-19 pandemic.
But still some drivers are overcharging, and looting general public. They are not adhering to latest farelists.
ARTO Poonch Anzar Ahmed Rana(KAS), has again warned the drivers to strictly adhere to the prescribed fare and farelist must be pasted in each and every passenger vehicle. If anybody found overcharging fare his licence and permit will be cancelled. And he has devoted some days of the week, to check the implementation of the same on the ground himself. He said, he will not spare any driver found over charging.
He also appealed the genreal public that, if anyone violates this farelists and is involved in overcharging bring that to his notice with any type proof he will himself penalise the guilty driver and cancel his licenseas well permit. He said, that almost everyone uses smartphone, so just videograph the said driver and vehicle and send it to him. Within hours strict action will be taken against him.
He said that, cooperation of general public is needed in this regard, and without the cooperation of general public it is impossible to eradicate this menace.
Furthermore he said, that everyone should, keep the soft copy of farelist in his phone, and if any driver charges a single penny extra, object to it. He said, public has also some duties, towards our society.
