Srinagar, 07 Aug 2021. The Swarnim Vijay Varsh Flame was received at Pratap Pur with
great enthusiasm on 05 Aug 2021 in its journey through Eastern Ladakh. As part of the
Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebrations, a Veterans Rally and Veer Nari Meet was organised by
Siachen Brigade at Pratap Pur on 05 Aug 2021 under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps. A
number of stalls were established for Veer Naris and Veterans by representatives of
Veterans Information Cell, Ladakh Scouts Records, Central Government Welfare
Department, Medical and Dental check up, Canteen Facilities, Nationalised banks like State
Bank of India and Jammu and Kashmir Bank. Dissemination of relevant information
pertaining to agriculture/ horticulture and other programs/ projects which may be beneficial
to Veterans by DIHAR, Sadbhavana Cell and Siachen Brigade were also undertaken.
These stalls provided valuable information about welfare schemes, pension entitlements,
job assistance and personal document related issues. The event well was received by Veer
Naris and Veterans, who got an opportunity to put forth their issues directly to Military and
Civil administration.
The event evoked huge response as Veer Naris, Next of Kins and Veterans
attended in large number and expressed their gratitude to Indian Army.
