DC Gbl reviews arrangements for I Day, 2021

GANDERBAL, AUGUST 10: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today convened a meeting of officers to review and finalize arrangements for upcoming Independence Day celebration in the district.

The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at Qamriya ground, Ganderbal where the National Flag will be unfurled by the chief guest followed by the march past presented by contingents drawn from District Police, CRPF, Armed Police, NCC, PTS Manigam and students of various educational institutions.

Cultural programs would also be presented by the students during the function.

The meeting reviewed the status of arrangements threadbare including preparation and consolidation of the main venue ground, podium, security, seating, transportation, parking, electricity, refreshment, Medicare, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders and sanitation measures.

The DC while highlighting the importance of the Independence Day, stressed that the committees already formulated will finalize all the arrangements before 13th August, the day of full dress rehearsal.

Meanwhile, the DC directed the concerned to ensure that all arrangements are put in place timely for the celebration of Independence Day at Sub Division, Block and Panchayat levels.

ADDC, Pir Muzafar, ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba, CEO, Executive Engineers of various wings, EO Municipality, ARTO and other concerned were present in the meeting.
