Quiz Competition lays emphasis on the improvement of the intellect and General Knowledge of the students. Therefore, Army Camp Gujjarpatti with an aim to inculcate National integration and patriotism organised “Inter School Quiz Competition 2021” as a prelude to the celebration of 75th Indian Independence Anniversary on 15 Aug 21. The event commenced with National Anthem.
A total of six schools in which students of class IX and class X from Lolab Valley participated for the same. Each team consisted of two participants making that made a total of 12 participants. Besides this, around 55 local youth, 10 village elders and 09 teachers also participated as an audience, whenever the student participant failed to answer to any question, the question was thrown open to the audience and whomsoever answered correctly were called on the stage and given prizes.
The Quiz consisted of six rounds. First round was about the history and awareness of Indian freedom struggle then followed Audio round, Sports round, Patriotic songs round and finally the rapid fire round. Every round was a mixed bag with questions pertaining to Indian freedom struggle and India’s way ahead.
The Quiz was conducted in a very interactive way and the teams participated with great enthusiasm. They skillfully answered the questions asked. Though some of the questions were very tricky, the teams tried to answer them with confidence. The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing and exciting. The audience clapped when the teams answered correctly. The audience also got a chance to participate every time the teams answered incorrectly.
Quiz was very informative and knowledge enriching for the participants as well as for the audience.The students displayed ecstatic spirit and enjoyed the quiz to to the fullest.
At the end, prizes were given to the winning team with a huge round of applause. Everyone who attended the event requested Army Camp, Gujjarpatti for more such events in near future.
