Ganderbal Police organises closing cum appreciation ceremony of Mountain Bike Ride event at DPL Ganderbal

August 15: District Police Ganderbal in collaboration with MTB Kashmir organized a “Mountain Bike Riding” event under the banner of “Anti Drug Awareness Campaign”. The aim of organizing this event was to give the youth a sense of purpose and channelize their energies in the right direction for a better future and a healthier tomorrow as well as to refrain youth from drug menace. J&K Police is putting its tireless efforts to organize such programmes so that evils like drug addiction may be eliminated from the society.

                This event “Mountain Bike Riding” was earlier flagged off from DPL Ganderbal for Kargil, Leh and culminated today back at District Police Lines, the trio cyclists viz; Aijaz Mushtaq, Ishtiyaq Rasool and Ikram-ul-Shafi achieved their goal by pedalling a long distance.

                In this connection, a simple but impressive closing-cum-appreciation ceremony was held at DPL Ganderbal, the trio cyclists were rewarded with appreciation certificates and trophies were also presented to them by DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Dr Abdul Maajid-JKPS and DySP DAR Ganderbal Shri Umer Rashid-JKPS. On the conclusion of the event officers appreciated the cyclists for achieving this title of long distance mountain biking from DPL Ganderbal up to Leh and back in 07 days.

                Participating athletes applauded the efforts of Ganderbal Police for organizing “Mountain Bike Ride” event and left with a vote of thanks to  J&K Police.
