Seeks consideration of its geninue demands
Bandipora, August 20: The newly formed NPS employees federation Friday filed a detailed representation before the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora seeking consideration of its geniune demands.
Pertinenly, the Union was formed for the removal of New Pension
Scheme(NPS) and restoration of Old Pension Scheme( OPS) in
favour of NPS emplyoees.
A single page representation filed before DC by NPS union, a copy of which lies with this news agency reads,”With profound respect and humble submission that we are the
employees of different departments want to draw your kind attention and
sympathetic consideration towards the scraping of New Pension Scheme (NPS).”
In its representation the Union sought Implementation of Old Pension Scheme instead of NPS in favour of
employees who have been appointed after 01-01-2010 as they don’t consider the NPS favourable scheme as compared to old pension scheme.
“Same benefits should be given to the NPS employees who were appointed after 2010 as given to the employees appointed before 2010. At the verge of retirement Old pension Scheme (OPS) employees got the amount with interest on amount deducted from their salary moreover in NPS (New Pension Scheme) such type of provision is not applicable.”
“Continuation of GPF accounts in favour of NPS employees. Implementation of pay scale in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory as same
to others Union territories like Delhi, Chandigarh etc. We therefore request to your humble submission for representing our case to
higher authorities for implementing old pension scheme, removal of NPS scheme and revised pay grade of Jammu and Kashmir UT as same to other UTs in the favour of all Jammu and Kashmir UT employees. We shall be highly thankful to your goodself for this act of kindness and
positive attitude towards us,” the representation added.
The others who were part of this delegation are Tahir Mohi_udin (Sr. Vice President) , Irshad Rasool Wani (General Secretary) Aashiq Hussain Koot(Secretary), Tahir Mohi-ud-din Wani (Adviser), Mushtaq Ahmad Najar (Spokesperson), Mohammad Nayeem Bhat (chief Advisor), Mudasir Naziki (Advisor) Jahangir Mohi-ud-din (Advisor), Tufail Ahmad (Advisor), Altaf Ahmad Dar (Chief Organiser), Wajid Munawar (Treasurer) and other various registered members of different departments were part of this delegation under the chairmanship of president Javeed Ahmad Lone.
