DDC Poonch convenes Block Diwas at Bufliaz

Listens to people’s grievances; assures of early redressal of genuine concerns

Inaugurates medical camp; visits JNV Surankote

POONCH, AUGUST 29: In an endeavour to redress the public grievances at their doorsteps, the District Development Commissioner visited Block Bufliaz and presided over the Block Diwas at Bufliaz High Secondary School Poonch.

During the Block Diwas, several issues were raised by PRIs and BDC chairperson like augmentation of water and power supply, Medicare facility and other specific issues including, provide staff of animal husbandry department so that treatment of animal well in time, speed up the tendering process, completion of Taranwali to Kalali PMGSY road etc.

Other issues include black topping of Bufliaz road, completion of Morha to Bagyal PWD road, Completion of Mora Hill kaka R&B road, surankote to Bufliaz road, completion of Bufliaz main road to sawni road, black topping of Bufliaz to Dogra Poshana road, Completion of Bheramgalla road, Construction of link road kaller katha to peer Bela, Panchayat Ghar for panchayat Tahrawali, PHC for Taranwali, check wall and motors for Bufliaz etc.

Some more issues include compensation for those whose crops have been destroyed, upgradation of Girl Middle School Bufliaz, Upgradation of Middle School Draba, renovate of primary and middle school bufliaz B, PHC for Bufliaz , Trauma Hospital, establishment of Anganwari centre in Bufliaz B, widow pension, Ambulance for Poshana, verification of BPL beneficiaries, Playground for Bufliaz and various other issues were raised in darbar.

The DDC gave patient hearing to the issues and demands and gave on the spot direction to the concerned department for early redress of the same. He also assured that all their genuine grievances will be resolved in a time bound manner.

Executive Engineer PMGSY said that the work is going on, he ensured that they would complete the remaining works of the roads with in a month time .Xen PWD ensures that they will complete the work of Black topping by September and Hill Kaka Road will also be completed at the earliest. All the other concerned district officers also assured for the completion of on going works and schemes on war footing basis.

Meanwhile , the Deputy Commissioner Poonch today inaugurated two days free medical camp in presence of ASP Poonch; BDCs, DDCs, Prominent citizens and the staff members.

The camp was organised by Jamia Zia Ul Uloom Poonch in collaboration with shifa Hospital srinagar

The Deputy Commissioner while speaking on the occasion appreciated the efforts of Jamia Zia Ul Uloom and congratulated Maulana Sayeed Habib for organising such an all important medical camp.

ASP Poonch, Maulana Sayeed A Habib, other religious heads and prominent citizens also spoke on the occasion.

The Deputy Commissioner visited Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya “Vidyalaya School where Management Committee Meeting (VMC meeting) was organized in the vidyalaya campus in Surankote.

Staff of District Administration , SDM Surankote, Tehsildar Surankote, CMO, BMO, CEO , DSP and other important officials along with parents attended the meeting. Principal Dr. S. P. Tripathi JNV greeted the Deputy Commissioner on the occasion.

During the meeting, Principal JNV presented the meeting agenda and various problems that are being faced by the vidyalaya, Including, lack of demarcation and boundary wall, lack of proper playground, quarters, uninterrupted supply of water, lack of high speed internet facility, requirement of handpump etc.

The Deputy Commissioner announced the hand pump for JNV and also directed the officers to take proper action so that the vidyalaya may progress fast and admission of a total of 80 students may be completed in the coming session.

Deputy Commissioner lauded the vidyalaya progress under the leadership of Principal Dr. S.P. Tripathi also assured him to do work without any fear.

Deputy Commissioner also assured to visit vidyalaya frequently in vidyalaya.

Srinagar, 29 Aug 2020. As part of the nationwide commemoration of Swarnim Vijay Varsh, the Indian Army undertook an initiative to organize, the Swarnim Vijay Varsh Kashmir Premier League, 2021. The primary purpose of the event was youth engagement and to provide them a pedestal to showcase their cricketing talents. The popularity of cricket in Kashmir is a wellknown fact. This wide reaching, multi-phased cricket tournament involved 10 districts of Kashmir. Swarnim Vijay Varsh Kashmir Premier League 2021 commenced on 01 Jul 2021 and was held in three phases. Phase 1 was played between 01 to 15 July 2021, wherein youths from 10 districts – Anantnag, Bandipora, Baramulla, Budgam, Ganderbal, Kulgam, Kupwara, Pulwama, Shopian and Srinagar participated. Local boys from remote villages, towns and from diverse backgrounds, formed their distinct village and town cricket clubs and came together, to participate in the tournament. A total of 199 teams, with about 3000 players participated in the Swarnim Vijay Varsh Kashmir Premier League 2021. The second phase played from 28 July to 10 August 2021 witnessed 10 teams vying for a spot in the semifinals. Anantnag Achievers, Budgam Braves, Ganderbal Sarowars and Shahi Shopian, reached the semifinals, which were played on 23 & 24 August 2021 at DPS, Srinagar ground. The Final was played between Badgam Braves and Shahi Shopian at Sher-e-Kashmir stadium, Srinagar on Sunday, 29 August 2021. Badgam Braves won the Swarnim Vijay Varsh Kashmir Premier League 2021 in an emphatic manner. The individual prizes were given for best performer as batsmen to Asif Hussain & Feroze Ahmad, of Budgam Braves and Adil Kachroo of Shahi Shopian. Adil Kachroo of Shahi Shopian and Rouf Mir & Mudasir Abbas, from Budgam Braves, were awarded the prizes for best performers, amongst the bowlers. Former Indian Cricketer, Yusuf Pathan's presence in the final, saw a great response from his fans in Kashmir valley. He complimented the teams and the organisers for a well fought and conducted event. He appreciated the fact that 199 teams from all over Kashmir participated in the two month long competition, which showed the amount of efforts the organisers had put in the conduct of the event. The GOC, Chinar Corps complimented the players for a wonderful performance in the Final. He exhorted the youths to pick up sports and bring laurels for their villages and towns. The GOC emphasised upon the importance of discipline in life as sportspersons across the world exhibit. He expressed the hope to see the next Neeraj Chopra, to emerge from Kashmir. Several senior army, police & civil officials including Mr Pandurang K. Pole Div Commissioner, Mr Mohammad Aijaz, DC Srinagar, Mr Vijay Kumar, IGP attended the final. BCCI officials also attended and witnessed the final match. Scores & Winners – Final played between Shahi Shopian & Budgam Braves – Shahi Shopian won the toss & decided to bowl 1st – Budgam Braves made153/6 and won by 37 runs. – The prize winners were as follows: Man of the Match: Muddasir Abbas – Budgam Braves – cash prize Rs 5000/- Purple Cap Winner- Sohail Wani- 13 wickets – Shahi Shopian- Rs 20,000/- Orange Cap Winner-Adil Kachroo- 234 runs- Shahi Shopian- Rs 20,000/- Man of the Tournament- Adil Kachroo- Rs 30,000/- Runners Up- Shahi Shopian- Rs 75,000/- Cash Prize & Runners Up trophy Winners- Budgam Braves- Rs 1,00,000/- cash prize & championship trophy.
