DHSK visits Martand temple Mattan on Krishna Janmashtami’s eve

Srinagar, Aug 30: Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rather on Monday visited Martand Temple (Sun temple) at Mattan Anantnag on the eve of Krishna Janmashtami to review the health care facilities being provided to the devotees.

In a statement issued to the news agency a spokesperson of Director Health Services Kashmir said the director interacted with the devotees at the Martand temple and stressed on the need of communal harmony and recounted the age-old tradition of communal harmony.

The temple authorities appreciated and welcomed the visit of the director. The Director appealed to the devotees to follow the SOPs of Covid-19 and also prayed for the mitigation of Covid-19.

Later, Dr Mushtaq visited CHC Mattan and SDH Seer Hamdan along with CMO and Deputy CMO and local health officials to review the functioning of these institutions.

The Director enquired about the work done in these hospitals. He also interacted with the patients and the health care staff. He also took a review of the Covid sampling and the vaccination process.

At SDH Seer Hamdan, he visited its all sections and directed the hospital’s Medical Superintendent to improve the sanitation and hygiene of the hospital.
