In an endeavor to provide opportunities to talented Girls from Ganderbal District to showcase their sporting prowess, Army Camp Ganderbal under Manasbal Sector RR organised Chinar Girls Volleyball Tournament-2021 at Physical Education College, Gadura from 12 Sep to 15 Sep 21.The tournament was played on league-cum-knock-out basis wherein 08 Teams from the Ganderbal District participated with great zeal & enthusiasm. The finals were played between Spartan Girls of Lar and Sets on Fire of Ganderbal Town wherein the Sets on Fire won by 2-1.The match was witnessed by a large audience to include Professors of Ganderbal Degree College & Physical Education College, Police
& Army officials and locals. The winning team Sets on Fire and runner-up were felicitated with Trophies, Certificate, Jersey, Gifts and Volleyballs. Ms Muneesha of the Sets on Fire Volleyball Club was adjudged the best player of Ganderbal District.The participants Girls have shown their skills as well as sportsmanship. These events motivate the girls to believe in themselves and shed a reassuring light on the harmonious relations between the Army and the local populace, breathing new life into the aptly coined term, “Awaam aur Jawaan, Aman hai Mukaam”.
