DC Srinagar visits Shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom(RA)

Takes stock of Developmental works

SRINAGAR SEPTEMBER 16:- Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad  Aijaz Asad Thursday visited the shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Hamza Makhoom(RA) and took stock of the Developmental Works for beautification of the shrine.

The DC inspected the developmental scenario of the locality around the Shrine and the works approved or in progress for improving facilities for local people.

While interacting with the members of Management Committee of the Shrine the DC enquired about the routine religious rituals being held in the Shrine and adherence to Covid Appropriate Behaviour.

The DC urged the members of the Management Committee to ensure strict adherence to the Covid-19 SOPs to counter the spread Covid-19 infection. He also urged for ensuring that devotees paying obeisance at the Shrine are wearing masks.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of all concerned departments to ensure all basic amenities at the Shrine and the nearby localities so that people do not face any problem.

He also directed SMC Ward officers for maintaining cleanliness in the area around the shrine.

During the visit, the DC also inspected the 550-meter long Makhdoom Sahib ropeway built by the Jammu and Kashmir Cable Car Corporation and took stock of its functioning.

Chief Executive Officer, Wakaf Board, Mufti Fareed u Din, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Syed Haneef Balkhi and senior officers of all concerned departments, besides members of Management Committee including Sajada Nisheen of the Shrine Peerzada Shahid Jeelani Makhdoomi accompanied him.
