AISF pays homage to Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary

DODA, Sept 27: All India Students’ Federation (AISF) district council Doda today paid homage to Shaheed e Azam Bhagat Singh on his 114th Birthday Anniversary here at district headquarters Doda. Federation also organised Poster Making Competition, Seminar and display of movie, “The Legend of Bhagat Singh,” on the occasion.

The function started with the floral tributes to revolutionary freedom struggle and welcome address by district council member Raj Kumar. District Cultural Officer Doda, Salauddin Tahir attended the function as chief guest and former AISF leader and social worker, Pankaj as guest of honour on the occasion.

The seminar on the theme, “Ideology of Bhagat Singh and today’s youth,” was also held wherein number of participants expressed their different views.

Chief Guest Salauddin Tahir in his address defined the role of Bhagat Singh in the freedom movement. He further highlighted the contribution of student organisations in the society.

Guest of Honour, Pankaj Sharma said urged the students to read the life long struggle and contribution of freedom fighters.

Councilor of Nagri, Ramesh Kumar, Kashish Thakur, Sapna Chambiyal, Rahida Hamid, Parul Dubey, Anish Kotwal, Sakshi Gouria, Meenakshi Gouria Ansh, Jatin Parihar, Rinku Rajput, Saima, Jugnu Bhagat and others also spoke on the occasion.

The programme held under the leadership of AISF district president Doda, Sulinder Parihar Sarazi, who in his address briefly described the life of Shaheed e Azam Bhagat Singh, his sacrifices and struggles.

A Poster Making Competition was also held, wherein number of participants participated. Rishi Parihar won first posting, Madhvi Parihar second and Sakshi Gouria third in the poster making competition.

The programme ended with the distribution of certificates among the participants and winners of the competition.
