CONDUCT OF ALL LADAKH PREMIER LEAGUE (T-20 CRICKET TOURNAMENT)

Srinagar, 29 Sep 2021. In a first of its kind, All Ladakh Premier League
(T-20 Cricket Tournament) was organized by Buland Battalion under the aegis
of Fire and Fury Corps as part of celebration of 75 years of our Independence.
The event which was conducted between 23 to 29 September 21 saw ten
teams participating and representing the remote areas of entire Ladakh
region. Leh region was represented by Teams Aryan Ibex and Maryul Tigers,
Kargil region by Teams Kargil Kings and Drass Dare Devils, Karu region by
Teams Tangtse Tigers and Changthang Warriors, Nyoma was represented by
Teams Snow Leopard and Lynx and Teams Nubra Ninjas and Shyok Tigers
represented Nubra region.
In an exciting final match Team Aryan Ibex which scored 172/7 runs,
clinched the very first All Ladakh Premier League trophy by defeating Team
Maryul Tigers who managed 165/9 runs. Shri Tashi Gyalson, Chief Executive
Councilor of Leh graced the closing ceremony as Chief Guest and amidst a
visual extravaganza gave away prizes to teams alongwith Shri SS Khandare,
Director General of Police and Major General Akash Kaushik, Chief of Staff,
Fire and Fury Corps. In addition to the dignitaries, the event was witnessed by
senior military officials from Fire and Fury Corps and officials from civil
administration of UT of Ladakh.
The event was well received by the locals and has brought about a
sense of pride and bonhomie with forces, being a first of its kind event post
the COVID-19 scenario.
