Cows, calves, sheep stolen from Shopian village

Cattle thieves have stolen 14 cattle including sheep and cows.

The incident of cattle lifting has occurred in Safanagri area of Zainapora Shopian.

Locals told news agency that thieves stole cows, calves and sheep from the sheds of four persons.

They identified the victims as Muhammad Abbas Wani, Farooq Ahmed Itoo, Ghulam Muhammad Ganaie and Abdul Rehman Ganaie.

“Cattle thieves stole two cows from the shed of Muhammad Abbas Wani, two calves from Farooq Ahmed Itoo, four calves from the shed of Ghulam Muhammad Ganaie and four sheep and two cows from the shed of Abdul Rehman Ganaie,” the locals said.

They appealed police to nab the cattle lifters and trace the stolen cattle.
