Police arrest acid thrower after 3 days

Shopian, Oct 8: Police have arrested the accused who sprinkled acid over a girl in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

    Pertinently, a 17-year old girl sustained burn injuries after acid was thrown over her at Kral Chek village of Shopian three days ago.

  Police said that Police Station Keller received information that one person namely Waseem Ali Shah of Aadoo Keegam had attacked a girl with acid, resulting in severe burn injuries to her body. She was immediately shifted to hospital for the treatment.

   Police after registering the case arrested the accused person who was evading his arrest. He has been shifted to police station where he remains in custody. (KNT)
