J&K Reports 108 New Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Jammu and Kashmir reported 108 new covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

Among the fresh cases, 21 were reported from Jammu Division and 87 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 331494.

There was no death due to the virus during the time. So far 4429—2175 in Jammu and 2254 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, the officials told news agency that Srinagar reported 47 cases, Baramulla 4, Budgam 14, Pulwama 2, Kupwara 1, Anantnag 4, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 11, Kulgam 3, Shopian 0, Jammu 6, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 3, Doda 5, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 1 and Reasi 4.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital and include female (23) from Qazigund Kulgam, female (33) from Wanbal Budgam, male (30) from Srinagar, male (40) from Khanyar, male (42) from Rangar Stop, male (55) from Zainakadal, female (40) and male (40) from Khanyar, female (41) and male (25) from Lal Bazar, male (34) from Soura, female (30) and male (35) from Buchpora, female (NA) from Pattan.

Moreover, 52 COVID-19 patients recovered during the time, 11 from Jammu Division and 41 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 326195 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 870—140 in Jammu and 730 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 73153 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
