Srinagar, Oct 22 : Government of India has reportedly dispatched 50 companies of additional paramilitary forces to Kashmir Valley, sources said on Friday.

They said most of the paramilitary troopers will be deployed in Kashmir capital Srinagar.

Centre has taken this move after the recent civilian killings.

Sources added that extra-security measures are being taken to foil any attack in the Valley , particularly in Srinagar. Security bunkers are making a comeback on the city roads. At various places, security bunkers are being erected that had been dismantled earlier.

Sources said that these new bunkers are being erected to keep a vigil on the suspects and put a check on the free movement of the militants.

Pertinently, in 2010, more than 50 security pickets and bunkers were removed in Srinagar on the recommendations made by an all-party delegation visiting Kashmir in that year. (KNT)
