Uri, Oct 31:A man was injured while his wife escaped unhurt after a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.
They said A Baleno vehicle (JK05J-3523) skidded off the road and rolled down into gorge on Srinagar-Muzafferabad road at Tyre Mode Uri, resulting in injuries to Tosief Ahmad Quraishi son of Mohammad Saleem Quraishi, a resident of Kalgi Uri. His wife travelling in the vehicle escaped unhurt, they said.
A police team rushed to the spot and took the injured to SDH Uri. Later the injured was shifted to GMC Baramulla wherefrom he was shifted to Soura Srinagar in critical condition.
A police officer confirmed the accident to news agency.
