The first ever Alumni meet of Army Goodwill School, Dawar was conducted today at the School auditorium, which was attended by 21 Alumnus, including three ex-students from Srinagar on Zoom call. The passing out batch of six students of class X were also invited for the event and given a warm send off.

Ever since the inception of the school on 01 May 2004, AGS Dawar has groomed thousands of children of the Gurez Valley into responsible citizens with nationalistic values. Most of the alumni are presently pursuing their higher studies in various Medical, Arts, Science and Commerce colleges and higher secondary schools in Srinagar and Gurez apart from a few who are employed in NHPC, JKP and other Government services.

This initiative by the school aims at providing the alumni a sense of belongingness and an opportunity to strengthen their association with the school and their beloved teachers by revisiting their old memories of their school days. Thus AGS, Dawar became the first school of the Gurez valley to form an Alumni Association and to carry out its first Alumni meet.

The next Alumni meet of AGS, Dawar is planned on 01 may 2022, on the occasion of the 18th raising day of the school which is planned to be celebrated on a large scale with much pomp and show.
