CHILDREN'S DAY AND ALUMNI MEET HELD AT ARMY GOODWILL SCHOOL, RAGHAVAN – MACCHAL SECTOR

Srinagar, 14 Nov 2021. The Army Goodwill School (AGS), Raghavan at village,
T Suntwari in the Machhal Sector organised one of its most important calendar event
on the occasion of the Children’s Day. The 2nd Alumni Meet was organized
alongside the Children’s Day to provide an opportunity for the current students to
interact with their predecessors from the years gone by. The Children's Day
celebrations included conduct of drawing and sports competitions amongst various
other activities, culminating with cultural events performed by the students. The
events witnessed enthusiastic participation by the students as well as the staff
members. 95 students attended the celebrations.
The alumni who came from distant places, were overwhelmed with nostalgia
and expressed their gratitude to the Army for providing them an opportunity to visit
their Alma Mata. The alumni spoke about their journeys and experiences during
their school days at AGS, Raghavan and appreciated the efforts made by the Army
to improve the infrastructure in the school. They exhorted the current generation of
students and their parents to make full use of the quality education and exposure
provided by the school. A total of 90 alumni attended the event. The alumni also
talked about the role played by the army in grooming them, to emerge as
responsible citizens of the nation. The event culminated with prize distribution for the
participant students and mementos to the school alumni as a token of association
and remembrance.
