Srinagar, Nov 26: Multiple colonies of Mehjoor Nagar area of Srinagar city have been reeling under darkness in absence of any power transformer.
Residents of Rose Colony, Friends Colony and Gulshan Abad decried failure of authorities to install power transformer in time that had developed technical snag three days ago.
Locals said they pay hefty power bills in time and still the attitude of the Power Development Department is callous and least bothered about the sufferings of consumers.
A delegation from these localities told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the power transformer developed snag and ironically, the transformer is yet to be repaired, In absence of power, we face immense problems. We appeal Chief Engineer PDD to look into the matter,” they said.
